Scope and authorized use
This policy forms part of SEC’s Terms of Service and applies to the bot, website, commands, support reports, and outputs. Use SEC only for lawful, authorized management and protection of Discord communities. You must also follow Discord Terms of Service and Discord Community Guidelines.
Permission to install or invoke SEC does not authorize harassment, data misuse, or actions outside your legitimate server responsibilities. Administrators must limit access to powerful commands and review the consequences of their configuration.
Prohibited conduct
- Raids and destructive abuse: use SEC to organize attacks, mass-kick or ban people without legitimate authority, destroy resources, weaponize false alerts, or interfere with another community.
- Harassment and discrimination: target people with threats, doxxing, stalking, hateful conduct, or unfair treatment based on protected characteristics. Do not use moderation records to organize harassment.
- Unauthorized access: obtain account credentials, compromise bots or servers, bypass permission checks, exploit the service, or evade Discord security and privacy controls.
- Data harvesting and profiling: scrape Discord, build cross-server reputation or relationship profiles, sell data, re-identify protected data, or use records for unrelated eligibility decisions such as employment, housing, or insurance.
- Spam and deception: automate unsolicited messages, inflate engagement or membership, impersonate SEC or Discord, falsify evidence, or submit knowingly misleading reports.
- Service interference: overwhelm commands or support queues, evade cooldowns or rate limits, run unauthorized load testing, or deliberately trigger destructive integration behavior.
- Unlawful content and activity: facilitate exploitation, illegal sexual content, non-consensual intimate imagery, violent extremism, fraud, or other activity prohibited by law or Discord.
Responsible commands and records
Use a relevant, factual reason for moderation. Review the selected member, channel, and duration before confirming an action. Restrict moderation-log channels to an appropriate audience. Do not place tokens, passwords, financial or health information, unnecessary personal details, or unlawfully obtained material into reasons or reports.
A warning or anti-raid score is server context, not a general verdict about a person. Do not publish case records as a blacklist or use SEC outputs to encourage retaliation. Give affected members a way to appeal server moderation decisions to your administrators.
Define trusted integrations by exact IDs. Names and avatars are not proof of identity. Use maintenance settings during authorized bulk changes and investigate anomalous alerts before taking further action.
Security research
Report a suspected SEC vulnerability privately through /support report. Describe the affected component and a minimal, non-destructive reproduction. Do not access another user’s data, extract credentials, interrupt live servers, or continue testing after discovering unauthorized access.
Authorization for broader testing must come from SEC’s operator in writing and cover the specific scope. Permission to use the bot does not authorize penetration testing, load testing, or attacks on Discord or Cloudflare. This policy does not promise a bounty or blanket immunity for unauthorized activity.
Reporting and enforcement
Submit misuse, security, or policy concerns through SEC support or the /support report command in Discord. Include relevant user/server IDs, times, a concise description, and evidence you are entitled to share. Do not attach illegal content or publicly disclose private data. SEC support is not an emergency service. For immediate danger, use appropriate local emergency channels.
We may investigate a report, ask for clarification, restrict service access, remove an affected installation, or refer a matter to Discord or lawful authorities where appropriate. We assess the nature of the conduct and available evidence; a report alone does not establish a violation. Urgent threats may require immediate action.
You may request review of an SEC access restriction through support. Moderation decisions made by a server’s own team must be appealed to that server. Discord enforcement must be appealed through Discord. Knowingly false reports, retaliatory reporting, or attempts to overwhelm the report system violate this policy.
