Agreement and operator
These Terms of Service govern access to the SEC Discord bot (application ID 1440487140734533792) and the website at usesec.top, together called the “Service.” “SEC,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to SEC team, the independent developer and operator of the Service. “You” means the person using the Service or the organization they are authorized to represent.
By authorizing SEC in a server, configuring its features, issuing a command, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms. Our Acceptable Use Policy forms part of these Terms. Our Privacy Policy explains how personal data is handled. If you do not agree, stop using the Service and remove SEC from servers you control.
SEC is an independent application. Discord does not operate, endorse, warrant, or assume responsibility for SEC. Your use of Discord remains subject to Discord Terms of Service, Discord Community Guidelines, and other applicable Discord rules. These Terms do not modify or override Discord’s agreements.
Eligibility and authority
You must satisfy Discord’s minimum age requirements and the laws that apply where you live. If you are not legally able to enter this agreement, a parent or legal guardian must agree on your behalf. You may not use SEC if applicable law or Discord bars you from doing so.
You may install or configure SEC only in servers where you have the required authority. If you act for a company, organization, or community, you represent that you can authorize the relevant use. Installing SEC does not grant you additional authority over other users, server owners, or Discord accounts.
Service scope
SEC provides slash-command moderation, warning and case records, configurable anti-raid monitoring, optional join-wave and message-flood protection with automatic 24-hour member timeouts, optional welcome messages, server utilities, and support reporting. Features depend on the running bot, Discord API availability, permissions, role positions, and server settings. The website provides product information, policies and a Discord-connected dashboard for server configuration and case history. All SEC modules are free; the website does not process purchases.
Anti-raid monitoring starts disabled for each server. An authorized administrator must configure an alert channel and enable it. Detection scores are signals for investigation, not a finding of guilt or proof that a user is malicious. Human audit-log activity is alert-only. The separate Join raids module, when enabled, correlates a wave of 8 human joins in 20 seconds with subsequent spam by individual wave members. During a 10-minute observation window, 8 messages in 10 seconds or 6 messages across at least 3 channels in 10 seconds can trigger an automatic 24-hour timeout. Joining alone never triggers a timeout; the Join raids module excludes established members, bots, webhooks, owners, administrators and members with server moderation permissions. The separate Message raids module covers existing members: 15 messages in 10 seconds or 10 across at least 3 channels can trigger a 24-hour timeout. Coordinated detection requires at least 4 members with 5 or more messages each and 30 combined in 10 seconds; only qualifying participants are timed out. Owners and moderation staff are excluded. Bot and webhook sources generate alerts only at 30 messages in 10 seconds or 15 across 3 channels, with one alert per source per minute. These detectors use rate and channel metadata; they do not determine intent from message content. Active timeouts are preserved. Timeout actions require SEC’s permissions and role hierarchy to allow them. Audit-log containment is narrowly limited to removing a recently granted dangerous role from an attributed, untrusted bot after the implemented confidence, alert-delivery, permission, hierarchy, and maintenance checks pass.
SEC is not an emergency response service, a backup service, a guarantee against raids, or a substitute for Discord’s native safety controls and active moderation. It does not automatically restore deleted channels, roles, messages, or other resources.
Permissions and administrator duties
You choose which permissions SEC receives and which features are enabled. Keep those permissions appropriate to the features you use. You are responsible for the server’s role hierarchy, alert-channel visibility, trusted-integration IDs, moderation rules, and configuration accuracy. Review settings after role or channel changes.
Moderation commands require the invoking user’s relevant Discord permission. Commands targeting members also check role hierarchy. Actions such as kicks, bans, timeouts, or message deletion may have immediate effects that SEC cannot automatically reverse. Server administrators are responsible for authorizing actions, checking targets and reasons, and handling community moderation appeals.
Use a maintenance window before planned migrations or bulk changes. Maintain independent backups where possible and regularly inspect logs and permissions. Do not represent a detection score or case record as a universal reputation score for a person.
Acceptable use and submitted information
You must follow our Acceptable Use Policy, applicable law, and Discord’s rules. Do not use SEC to raid, harass, discriminate, impersonate, obtain unauthorized access, evade safeguards, harvest data, or overwhelm a service. Do not abuse moderation tools or support reporting.
Moderation reasons, maintenance reasons, and support reports must be accurate to the best of your knowledge and relevant to the function used. Do not submit passwords, bot tokens, private keys, payment data, medical information, unnecessary personal details, illegal content, or content you have no right to provide. You are responsible for your submissions and for the permissions of channels where SEC posts them.
Data and records
Data collection, use, disclosure, retention, and deletion are described in the Privacy Policy. SEC stores only data used for its stated features. Some output, including moderation logs and alerts, is sent to channels selected by server administrators and may be visible to members with access to those channels.
Removing SEC or erasing its local records does not remove Discord’s own audit records, moderation actions, messages already posted by SEC, screenshots, exports, or copies retained by server administrators. Local case deletion is not an appeal or reversal of a Discord action. Do not rely on SEC as your only source of records that you need to retain.
Content and intellectual property
SEC’s software, branding, website design, and original content belong to the operator or their licensors. These Terms grant you a limited, non-exclusive, revocable permission to use the Service for its intended purpose while you comply with these Terms. They do not transfer ownership or grant rights to impersonate SEC or resell access as if you operate it.
You retain any rights you have in information you submit. You grant SEC only the permission needed to receive, store, process, and display that information to provide the requested feature, handle support, and meet applicable legal duties. This permission does not authorize advertising profiles, sale of Discord API data, or training AI models on your submissions. Third-party and open-source components remain subject to their own licenses.
Availability, changes, and fees
All SEC functionality is offered without a subscription fee. There are no premium modules, paid upgrades or purchase flows in the Service.
The Service may be interrupted by maintenance, host outages, network failures, Discord outages or rate limits, permission changes, or software defects. We may change, remove, or discontinue features. We do not promise a particular uptime, response time, detection accuracy, or compatibility with every integration. Where reasonably possible, material service changes will be announced through the website or relevant Discord application channels.
Suspension and termination
You may stop using SEC at any time. Server owners can remove the bot and can use /privacy erase-server-data with the stated confirmation to erase retained server records. Protection and welcome messages become disabled after that reset.
We may restrict, suspend, or discontinue access where reasonably necessary to address abuse, a breach of these Terms, security threats, legal obligations, Discord enforcement, or continued operation that is no longer practical. We may act immediately where notice would create a risk or is legally prohibited. You may request review through SEC support or the /support report command in Discord. Data retention and deletion continue to follow the Privacy Policy and applicable law.
Service warranties
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” We make no warranty that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure against every attack, accurate in every classification, or suitable for a particular purpose. We disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement to the extent the law allows.
This section does not exclude warranties or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded. You remain responsible for evaluating moderation decisions and maintaining the safety and continuity of your server.
Limits of liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, SEC and its operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive losses, including lost profits, business interruption, lost data, or loss of goodwill arising from use of, or inability to use, the Service.
Where applicable law permits a financial cap, our total liability for claims arising from the Service or these Terms is limited to the greater of US$100 or the amount you paid directly for the relevant Service during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, willful misconduct, death or personal injury caused by negligence where that liability cannot be excluded, or any other liability that applicable law does not allow us to limit. Mandatory consumer protections take priority over conflicting limitations.
Disputes and mandatory rights
Contact SEC support or the /support report command in Discord with a description of a dispute and the resolution you seek so we can attempt to resolve it. You do not waive applicable legal deadlines or mandatory legal rights by contacting support.
These Terms do not impose an arbitration agreement or class-action waiver. Applicable law determines the governing law and the courts with jurisdiction. Nothing here prevents you from using a court, regulator, or dispute-resolution process available under mandatory law.
If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent lawful. Failure to enforce a provision immediately is not a waiver. The provisions about rights, accrued obligations, liability, and disputes survive termination where their purpose requires it.
Updates and contact
We may revise these Terms to reflect feature changes, legal requirements, or operational changes. The effective date appears above. For material changes, we will provide reasonable notice through the website or Discord application channels where practical, except where an urgent security or legal change requires an earlier effective date. Continued use after a revised version takes effect indicates acceptance; otherwise, stop using SEC.
Questions, abuse reports, appeals concerning SEC’s access decisions, and privacy requests can be submitted through SEC support or the /support report command in Discord. Appeals concerning a server moderator’s decision should be sent to that server’s administrators. Discord platform enforcement should be addressed through Discord’s own support channels.
